Hot Cross Buns remain a firm Easter favourite and following popular demand, Morrisons is going even bigger with the launch of its brand-new Hot Cross Bun Loaf, a supersized twist on the seasonal classic that’s perfect for sharing.
Behind every loaf is an early start. While most of the nation sleeps, Morrisons expert Market Street bakers are already up from 4am, mixing, kneading and baking the day’s first batches of Hot Cross Buns – with around 150,000 made fresh in-store every single day in the run-up to Easter. The new loaf is a celebration of that craft, turning a much-loved classic into something even more generous.
Packed with plump sultanas and warming spice, the Hot Cross Bun Loaf delivers all the flavour of a traditional bun in a generous, sliceable format. Priced at just £1, or two for £1.50, it’s available on Market Street Bakery nationwide. Each loaf is equivalent to six standard buns and every slice is soft, fluffy and full of flavour. Fans online have even compared it to a warm bread and butter pudding, praising it as the ultimate comfort food.
