Morrisons is lowering prices on popular products that regularly feature in the weekly basket as part of its ongoing commitment to deliver value to customers. The prices are live in Morrisons stores nationwide and online from Monday and throughout April.

A range of fresh Market Street produce will see price reductions, including family staples such as Fyffes Loose Bananas (now 90p), Morrisons Baby Potatoes 1kg (now £1.09), Morrisons Corn Cobettes (2pk - now £1.29) and Morrisons Baby Plum Tomatoes 250g (now 68p), helping shoppers make everyday meals affordable. Everyday essentials are also included, with Morrisons Wheat Biscuits (24pk - now £1.80) and Morrisons Unsmoked Rindless Back Bacon 300g (now £1.49), Morrisons British Honey Roast Ham 120g (now £2) and Morrisons Trimmed Leeks 500g (now £1.39).

To help stretch customers' pennies even further, prices have also been lowered in the Morrisons Savers range, across both food and household essentials. Items include Morrisons Savers Apple Juice Drink 1L (now 89p), Morrisons Savers Six Double Toilet Rolls (now £2.27), Morrisons Essentials Fresh Mint Toothpaste 100ml (now 45p), Morrisons Savers Mature White Cheddar 400g (now £2.49), Morrisons Savers Fish Fillets 450g (now £2.02) and Morrisons Wonky Carrots 1.45kg (now 76p), offering even more ways to keep the weekly shop down.

Alongside own-brand products, Morrisons is also introducing spring offers on 1000s of other household favourites across its stores with popular branded items such as Birds Eye Fish Fingers (20pk - now £3.00), Filippo Berio Extra Virgin Olive Oil (1L - now £9.00 - a 25% saving) and Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar (1kg - now £1.09).

Alex Paver, Pricing and Customer Director at Morrisons, said: “We know consumer confidence remains low, and for many of our customers, managing household budgets is a real concern. That’s why we’ve focused on lowering the price on everyday essentials and family favourites that we know our customers buy week in, week out. By cutting prices across 1000s of key products, we’re helping customers keep the cost of the weekly shop down. This reflects our continued commitment to helping customers spend less, while enjoying the quality Morrisons is known for.”

The latest round of price reductions form part of Morrisons ongoing investment in affordable everyday shopping. In January, Morrisons cut the prices on 2,500 products, with a focus on fresh produce, cupboard staples, and branded items to help customers manage post-Christmas budgets.

Last week, the retailer helped customers save over Easter with price cuts on seasonal roast essentials including carrots, parsnips and whole swede priced at just 4p each, alongside deals on crowd-pleasing meat and fish centrepieces.

Morrisons will also be launching its Baby Event soon, offering parents unbeatable deals across a number of baby and toddler essentials, while its Cleaning Event is now live (from 6th April) with bargains across multiple household and cleaning essentials - just in time for the annual spring clean.

The new savings will be clearly highlighted in store and on the Morrisons website, making it easier for customers to spot.
