Morrisons 'The Diva' bouquet: by appointment to the Glastonbury pop queens

What does a festival super diva demand as her choice of dressing room decor? The finest orchids, flown from China’s fields, or exotic lilies sourced from sundrenched South Africa? No - according to insiders, the leading ladies at Glastonbury have demanded pure and simple freesias, roses and carnations from the local Morrisons store. In response to the floral rider requests, the supermarket’s expert floral designers have designed a bouquet fit for a pop queen that they have christened, affectionately, ‘The Diva’.

Morrisons, Glastonbury, is the closest major store to the festival and has received hundreds of ‘rider’ requests in the last week from the local festival’s backstage team. The demands included a special request from a ‘leading lady’ for their finest white roses and a selection of fresh freesias to create a pure and spring-like feel to her dressing room. Fast acting florists at Morrisons took the list of floral demands as inspiration for a beautiful peaches and cream bouquet design, so all Morrisons shoppers can recreate the superstar look in their own homes.

The Diva Bouquet will be exclusively launched at the Glastonbury store on Saturday and will be available nationwide from today priced at just £10.

Jane Speakman, MD of horticulture at Morrisons says: “We’re delighted to supply the flowers of choice for Glastonbury’s leading ladies. As Morrisons works direct with growers, we can ensure that the flowers they receive are of super fresh, superstar quality. The Diva Bouquet will be in stores nationwide next week so that all our customers can have a touch of pop princess glamour in their own homes for a great price.”
