This Valentine’s Day, Morrisons is giving shoppers a tasty reason to visit its butchers’ counters, with 20% off Market Street steaks nationwide as part of ‘Super Steak Saturday’. The offer, exclusively available for More Card customers, comes as new research reveals steak is the nation’s favourite Valentine’s Day dish, with close to a third (27 per cent) of Brits planning to celebrate the occasion with a juicy cut.
Filled to the brim with great value, high quality and freshly sourced British steaks, Morrisons has over 1,600 expert butchers on hand to help shoppers easily pick the one for them. The butchers can prepare steaks exactly how customers like them, whether thick and juicy or thin and sizzling, meaning no need to compromise on date night for couples with different preferences. Nervous about getting it right? Morrisons trained butchers can also offer cooking tips and recipe inspiration, helping shoppers serve up a steak that’s perfectly pink on the inside, every time.
From prime sirloins to perfectly marbled rib-eyes or succulent fillets, Morrisons butchers offer six different cuts of steak all year round, meaning there is something for everyone as romantics look to recreate a restaurant-quality dinner for their loved one at home – without the hefty price tag.
Shoppers looking for the ideal cut for their Valentine’s or Galentine’s celebration can take their pick, with fillet steak at £40/kg (from £50/kg), making a 6oz fillet steak just £6.81 (from £8.51). While sirloin steak is down from £32/kg to £21.33/kg, meaning an 8oz sirloin is reduced to just £3.87 (from £4.84) as part of the Super Steak Saturday offer.
The research also shows that 41 per cent of adults consider a shared love of food to be a dealbreaker when dating.
