Special biscuit to support NHS key workers with profits going to NHS Charities Together
Morrisons is offering a gingerbread ‘NHS Hero’ to show it’s support for all those who are working tirelessly in the fight against Coronavirus - with profits going to NHS Charities Together.
Decorated in blue scrubs and sporting a stethoscope, the specially crafted gingerbread has been designed to offer Morrisons customers the chance to say thank you to everybody who is working on the frontline.
The gingerbread will be available at all of Morrisons Cake Shop counters nationwide and will cost £1.00. All the profits from the sales of the gingerbread NHS Heroes will be donated directly to NHS Charities Together.
Megan Moore, Cakeshop Buying Manager at Morrisons said: “We’ve created a special gingerbread biscuit to pay tribute to all those working hard in the NHS. We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to show their support and appreciation during these unprecedented times. ”
Ellie Orton, Chief Executive of NHS Charities Together, said: "Our staff and volunteers are working tirelessly through these unprecedented times. The profits from the gingerbread heroes will be used to enhance the well-being of all of those on the frontline, Morrisons is giving the nation an opportunity to show their gratitude and respect".
The gingerbread NHS Heroes will be available in all of Morrisons stores and online from Thursday 9th April until stocks last.
