News Morrisons brings back Volcanic Vindaloo after huge demand

Morrisons has announced that it is bringing back the hottest supermarket ready meal ever to be produced. Permanently.
Morrisons created the Volcanic Vindaloo as a one-off to celebrate National Curry Week (Oct 9 – Oct 15) but after huge demand and after receiving thousands of requests from chilli fans, the supermarket has decided to give it a permanent place in its curry range.
  • The nation’s hottest ready meal curry – containing Naga chillies - will be back on Morrisons shelves from Wednesday 25th October priced at £3.25.
  • The ‘Volcanic Vindaloo’ is aimed at extreme curry lovers who find the spice levels in existing ready meals too tame. Morrisons was the first supermarket to take up the challenge and create a ready meal curry that had the fiery heat of a restaurant-bought Chicken Vindaloo.
  • Morrisons Ready Meals Expert, Sean Gill, said: “It seems what the nation wanted was a really, really hot supermarket curry. So we’re bringing it back permanently.”
