Win Free Shopping / Great British Price Crunch / Saver Stamps

With one in three shoppers telling us that they have no money left at the end of the month Morrisons is kicking off 2012 with three in-store customer campaigns to help families make the weekly shopping budget stretch further and to bring some New Year cheer to its shoppers.

The 2nd of January will see the launch of:

  • - Win Free Shopping
  • - The Great British Price Crunch
  • - Saver Stamps

Win Free Shopping
Morrisons is helping its shoppers get through the long month of January and adding some excitement to the weekly shop with the opportunity to win free shopping.

Five shoppers will win their shopping every day in every one of its 471 stores. That’s over 2300 people a day, and a total of 72,000 shoppers who will win free shopping throughout January. Free Shopping will run for one month from Monday 2nd January until Tuesday 31st January. During that time every shopper will receive a unique reference number printed on their receipt. Five numbers will be drawn every day for every store.


The campaign will also be supported by an integrated marketing campaign. In-store POS and a new TV advert will launch on Monday the 2nd of January as well as nationwide press and outdoor advertising.

The Great British Price Crunch

From Tuesday the 2nd of January, Morrisons is launching The Great British Price Crunch as it slashes the price of thousands of items. Discounts are based on the nation’s favourite groceries and hundreds of items will be reduced by half, alongside thousands of other price cuts.

Saver Stamps

Morrisons is launching its 2012 Saver Stamps scheme. From January, customers can buy their saver stamps at the checkout and start collecting in the Saver Stamps booklet. Morrisons is giving the customer a free £1 stamp when they reach £49 and a further 2 free £1 stamps when they reach £98.
The Saver Stamps can then be redeemed against purchases. **

* Winning numbers will be displayed in the store of purchase and on the Morrisons website. Customers can collect their winnings by returning to the store of purchase to receive the value of the receipt in cash.
