On Thursday 8th May, Morrisons is offering thousands of veterans and military personnel a free hot drink of choice in its cafés, as it joins the nation in celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day.
Available for one day only, the free hot drink is a small thank you gesture to both veterans and current working military staff for their service to the country. The deal is across the wide range of hot drinks available in Morrisons cafés, from lattes and cappuccinos for coffee lovers needing an extra boost, to hot chocolate and a builder’s brew for those who enjoy a simple cuppa.
A selection of cakes such as a Victoria Sponge and Chocolate Fudge Cake can be picked up to accompany their hot drink with prices starting from £2.75.
Chris Strong, Morrisons Senior Café Buyer, said: “Our hot drink café offer is a small thank you to the thousands of veterans and current working military force members for all they have done and continue to do for us. We also hope the offer and our cafés provide a space to bring people together to catch-up with friends and family and share experiences on what will be a monumental day for our country.”
The Morrisons VE Day deal will be available in cafés nationwide, on Thursday 8th May only. To redeem the offer, eligible customers need to simply show a valid HM Armed Forces ID card at the café counter.
The supermarket will also join the thousands of community VE Day Celebrations by donating over £10,000 worth of products
