This summer Morrisons customers can have fun in the sun and stay safe with a complete new range of suncare that has been given the EU’s seal of approval. From Kids to Sensitive, sprays and lotions, high to low SPF, we’ve got summer covered.
All of Morrisons suncare products have been redesigned and redeveloped to comply with the new EU guidelines. The ranges have been stamped with the new UV-A logo and standardised verbal descriptions about the protection level so customers can make a more informed choice about the sun care products they use.
All of the ranges contain sun filters to protect against UVA (ageing protection) and UVB (burn protection). The products are also water resistant and dermatologically tested.
With different coloured caps to differentiate the ranges and the simple on-pack communication, customers can easily identify the products that will best suit their needs. Each range consists of a combination of sprays and lotions at different SPFs.
The yellow packaging is our Core range and comes in SPF 10 which is designed for tanned skin that is acclimatised to the sun, SPF 20 which is designed for normal skin acclimatised to the sun and SPF 30 which is for customers with normal skin not acclimatised to the sun.
Parents can be sure their children will be safe by looking for the green packaged Kids suncare range. With SPF 30 coloured spray parents can make sure they have covered every bit of the body, as well as SPF 50 sun care stick for those noses and cheeks. For Babies and Toddlers their skin can be protected with SPF 50+ sun care cream.
The blue packaging identifies our Active range and is ideal for sports. The range consists of an SPF 25 clear spray, an SPF 30 lotion and a handy sized SPF 50 sun stick.
Customers with Sensitive skin can look out for our white sun care products which are free of fragrances and artificial preservatives. The range consists of High protection SPF 30 and SPF 50 sprays.
Our Aftersun range helps prolong your tan and gives 12 hour moisturisation. The range includes a standard lotion, a calming, refreshing spray with insect repellent, a cooling gel with added Aloe Vera and a lotion containing a tanning agent to enhance your natural tan.
Morrisons Top Tips for Sun Safety
Do not stay in the sun too long, even whilst using a sunscreen
Avoid the intense mid-day sun
Keep covered, including a hat, T-shirt and sun glasses
Use sunscreen liberally and reapply regularly, especially after swimming or towelling
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day; avoid caffeine and alcohol
Avoid exposing babies and young children to direct sunlight
