The ocean's most loveable fish hits Morrisons supermarkets for those with an appetite for passion on Valentine's Day

From February 13th, cuttlefish will be the latest ‘love food’ to fly off the Morrisons fish counters. The fish, which owes its amorous qualities to its three hearts, is available to all those looking to impress loved ones with their culinary skills on Valentine’s Day.

Already a popular dish in the Mediterranean and East Asia, Morrisons is the only major supermarket in the UK selling fresh cuttlefish in the run up to Valentines Day.  Cuttlefish are a nutritious and tasty alternative to more traditional dishes on the Valentine’s Day menu. Great used in risottos and pasta dishes and served with a nice bottle of white wine, it is sure to impress.

Andrew Speight, Fish Specialist at Morrisons comments, “From cod to cuttlefish, Morrisons source and prepare the widest possible range of high quality, responsibly sourced fresh fish. We wanted to offer our customers something with a little extra love this Valentine’s Day so we looked into sourcing the most loveable fish in the sea. Caught off the South West coast of the UK, our cuttlefish will be on the majority of our fresh fish counters just in time for February 14th.”
