Charity Partnership - Morrisons Corporate

'Raise A Smile', that's how we talk about our Charity Partnerships.

It helps define our approach to developing and delivering two-way partnerships with our chosen charities. Raise a Smile aims to do exactly what is says – for our customers, our colleagues, and of course for the charities and their beneficiaries.

We raised £7m for our previous charity partner Save the Children between 2011 and 2014; and £7.3 million for our last partner Sue Ryder between 2014 and 2017.

Our current charity – CLIC Sargent

In January 2017 our colleagues chose CLIC Sargent as our next charity partner.

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. Today, 11 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. From diagnosis, CLIC Sargent’s specialist care teams will step in, ready to help, support and guide.

Between 2017 and 2020 we hope to raise over £8 million, and all the money we raise will fund people, places and practical things to help stop cancer destroying young lives:

People: Together, we’ll create a brand new team of expert nurses who'll go out into local communities to educate health and social care professionals so that they have the skills to provide the best possible care for children and young people with cancer.

Places: Together, we’ll create new Home Hubs close to Specialist Treatment Hospitals, providing a welcoming environment for families to take a much needed break from the intensity of hospital.

Practical things: Together, we’ll provide grants to families across every Morrisons community to help them cope with the financial consequences of a cancer diagnosis.
