We recognise the need to ensure that we aren’t adding to environmental damage through the sourcing of key commodities such as soya. Not only do we look to source sustainably, we are also exploring home-grown alternatives to soya as part of our farming programme.
We have joined the Roundtable on Responsible Soy (RTRS), a certification scheme which is supported by WWF, to help prevent the environmental impact of unsustainable soya production, such as deforestation and habitat loss.
We plan to introduce certified soya into our supply chain as it comes onto the market in the coming years, providing the system works effectively. This sends a signal to soya producers and will help make a positive difference to some of the world’s most important biodiversity.
