We think access to affordable fresh food should be a right not a privilege. We want to make it easy for customers to make healthier choices and are taking a range of actions to deliver this, such as introducing the healthy eating brand NuMe and guaranteeing a minimum 50 promotions on fresh fruit and vegetables every week.
Morrisons is part of the Government’s Public Health Responsibility Deal and we continue to make our own brand food healthier by reducing salt, sugar, and saturated fat. We are also extending calorie labelling in our customer cafés and “to go” items to help shoppers make informed choices.
We are committed to providing clear nutrition information on front of pack to help customers make choices that are right for them. As part of this commitment we will be incorporating “traffic lights” into our labelling of relevant products in the coming months. In addition, our pre-packed products also include allergy information where appropriate and ‘5-a-day’ labelling on a range of fresh and frozen foods.
